Support and Understanding

People who understand the lifelong impact of adoption on everyone affected provide NORCAP services. The majority of service providers are themselves members of the adoption triangle and all will understand your feelings about your adoption experience. The organisation uniquely focuses on services to adults. Support is available well beyond the working day and across weekends and holidays through a network of trained volunteers who supplement the specialist services provided by our expert team at the NORCAP office. New members immediately receive the current listing of Contact Leaders – the nationwide network of support. Many offer email as well as telephone support and some arrange local group meetings.

For members who need a personal counselling service NORCAP has a pool of professionally qualified counsellors who specialise in work with adults affected by adoption. The list is available to all members.
