Established in 1982, the NORCAP contact register holds over 58,000 entries relating to adopted people and members of their birth family. Resources are achieved every week and every one is offered the support of an intermediary to facilitate whatever communication each person finds acceptable. A link on the register can avoid all the time and cost involved in searching. Registration is simple and can be completed online. 1,000 Resources have already been made on the NORCAP Contact Register.

Every new entry is checked for Resources with an existing registration for:

• date of birth of the adopted person involved.
• first name.
• surnames.
• place of birth.
• birth mother’s name.
• birth father's name.

Every existing entry is checked for Resources with every new registration received.

All of the details on the NORCAP Contact Register are confidential and cannot be viewed online.
