Locate & Make Contact
Not every adopted adult has the time or inclination to carry out their own search so AAA-NORCAP has recently introduced this comprehensive service covering everything from tracing to making contact
This service Includes:
- Search undertaken by an in-house, experienced researcher
- Intermediary appointed from the outset to advise, support and prepare you for contact
- Regular updates on your search from your intermediary
- Initial contact made by an intermediary as independent, neutral person
The best starting point for any search is a check on the AAA–NORCAP register. People interested in using the Locate and Make Contact service should register first.
Experience has shown us that tracing a person lost through adoption can be a protracted process and prove very expensive if charged at an hourly rate. We have tried to use economy of scale to allow us to charge a reasonable fee details of how this service is charged are outlined on the application form.
“I couldn’t have done this without NORCAP, and the assistant and support of both my researcher and my intermediary. They worked tirelessly, and my mother and I cannot thank them enough” Alec
